Pat Starnes Snippets: Wordless Wednesday ~ Pink Hydrangeas

Wordless Wednesday ~ Pink Hydrangeas

Pink Hydrangea

On a recent walk at Flowood Nature Trail, I look photos of the beautiful scenery. The pink hydrangeas beckoned me to take a photo, so I obliged.

The Nature Trail is adjacent to Winners Circle Park. The trail winds through the trees and native plantings are sprinkled along the pathway.

Hi Pat... one of my favorite flowers, the hydrangea... and I don't care what color it may be. Beautiful in all colors.

I love hydrangeas! Wish I was better at growing them, though. Not sure if I'm fighting a loosing battle, as they might not be in my growing area (or whatever that is referred to by nurseries to tell you what will or won't grow in your area??) My sister in Spokane grows them like weeds. ***Jealous***

Hydrangeas always remind me of my mother's home in summer!  She had about a dozen of them planted along one side of her house.

Such a beautiful sight to see and it has been captured so well with a camera in hand!

Ruth Vogt ~ mine (hydrangeas) seem to like a little bit of shade. Not sure what the correct answer is. Of course this pic was taken at the Nature Trail and I don't recall if they receive partial shade or full sun.

Myrl Jeffcoat ~ they remind me of my mom's house, too.

Pretty flower, Pat. My hydrangeas have not bloomed yet. I fear I cut them back too far in the fall.
