Today is Veteran's Day, and I just heard a very appropriate way to "salute" or say Thank You to our military personnel.
When you come in contact with a veteran, someone you don't know personally but want to acknowledge, place your right hand over your heart, then extend it toward them as if to say "thanks". THAT'S IT! Easy enough for us to do, but quickly and politely shows our respect and appreciation for their service and dedication to our country.
Thanks to all our military personnel for serving this nation. SALUTE!

Great recognition. This is so important to recognize those whom have fought for you and I today. Thanks for remembering them. To our troops...thanks for protecting us and our freedoms. I'm forever grateful.
Thank you for sharing this. It is easy and would mean a lot to both the person giving it and the person recieving it.
Thanks! My grandfather just passed. He fought the Japanese in World War II. His stories were tremendous.
Hey Pat - Just wanted to pass on a few sites regarding Veteran's Day...

Randall - I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your grandfather. I woke up thinking about my dad this morning, too. He passed away three years ago and was in the Korean conflict, but he didn't talk much about it. I miss him every day. Thanks for visiting and leaving a response.
Ryan - it's always an honor to have you stop by. Thanks for sharing the links.
Larry and Patty - Thank you both for stopping by and for helping us honor our veterans today.
~Pat
Pat.... I have never heard of that before, placing your hand over your heart and then extending it to them while saying thanks. I like the idea... thanks for sharing..
